My path into women’s health didn’t begin in a classroom it began when I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease in 2011. During that time everything I thought I understood about myself shifted. I spent the next ten years learning how to support my health in ways that were both practical and deeply personal. It was slow, imperfect work, but it taught me to listen closely and to question almost everything. I became a relentless researcher out of necessity, sorting through studies, trends, expert opinions, and the endless noise that fills the wellness world. Bit by bit, I rebuilt my health by focusing on what actually holds up, what has integrity, and what the body responds to in a real and lasting way.

By the time I entered my forties, I thought I knew my body well. Then perimenopause began, and everything tilted again. My sleep changed. My energy changed. My emotional landscape shifted. Once more I found myself on unfamiliar terrain. And again, I started studying. I read, I listened, I took courses, I followed the science, and I paid attention — not just to my own symptoms, but to the deeper patterns beneath them. I learned how much misinformation exists about midlife, how many quick fixes are marketed to women, and how rarely we’re offered clear, grounded guidance. So I dug in. I researched as if my wellbeing depended on it, because it did.

The Between grew organically out of these two long periods of learning — first the decade I spent healing from chronic illness, and then the years I’ve spent navigating midlife with both curiosity and discipline. My understanding of women’s health is built on lived experience, but it is equally built on years of study, discernment, and a refusal to accept easy answers. I’ve spent fifteen years separating what’s evidence-based from what’s trendy, what’s supportive from what’s performative, what genuinely helps a woman’s body from what only promises to.

Everything I offer now comes from that combination: the embodied knowledge that only comes from living through something, and the intellectual rigor of someone who has spent years researching, refining, and integrating what actually works. The Between is the space I craved when I was moving through my own transitions — steady, thoughtful, grounded, and free from noise. A place where women can feel supported by someone who has walked the terrain, studied it deeply, and cares fiercely about supporting other women.

The Between does not provide medical care, diagnosis, or treatment. This work is educational, supportive, and focused on helping you understand your health, build sustainable habits, and make informed decisions. We refer you to healthcare providers when appropriate.


Do I need labs or medical records to work together?

Not necessarily. Many women begin this work without recent labs. If you have labs or records you’d like to review, they can be thoughtfully incorporated as part of your plan.


Is this approach evidence-based?

Yes. The Midlife Method™ is grounded in current research and best practices while remaining practical, flexible, and responsive to real life. Evidence guides the work, but it never overrides your lived experience.
